For site engineers, surveyors and project managers
The site as it was on that date, provable years later.
The screed covers the services, the insulation covers the masonry, acceptance comes months later. What you did not document verifiably is, once the job is done, just your word against someone else's.
The problem
Where disputes start
No. 01
Work that disappears
Rebar, waterproofing, concealed services: once poured or closed, they are gone. Photos are the only witness, and they must stand up to the question of when they were taken.
No. 02
Progress and payment
Progress is argued about when it is time to pay. A photo without a date that does not depend on you leaves open what was done, and when.
No. 03
Site condition
Before works, at completion, after damage: the comparison with the neighbouring building or the previous state is won or lost on the date of the images.
On site
How it works on site
Enter the site or milestone reference: every acquisition stays labelled and you find it in the Library by searching that reference.
Capture inside LOCUS before every pour or closure. Each photo is sealed within seconds with fingerprints, device signature, third-party timestamps, location and address.
A video ties details to context and records the location along the route. It uses 2 slots: use it where the relationship between elements matters.
Gather the acquisitions into a case file, share the ZIP and quote each verification code in your site record.
The package
What stays in the file
For each acquisition, a package anyone can re-check, even years later and without us:
- the camera's original file and a PDF report;
- the fingerprints of every file, signed by the device;
- timestamps from third-party authorities, including a qualified eIDAS one (InfoCert) over the whole package;
- coordinates, accuracy and address with a map; for video, the route;
- the site reference and your notes, inside the sealed package;
- an interactive.html page and verify.sh / verify.bat scripts to re-check everything without going through our site.
Plainly put
What LOCUS does not do
- It does not replace site diaries, minutes or lab tests: it strengthens them by attaching images with a date that does not depend on you.
- It measures nothing: if a dimension matters, put it in the frame (tape, level, instrument) and document it with the photo.
- Capturing needs a network connection. In a basement without signal, take the key shots where there is coverage, or go up and seal them right after.
- Admissibility and weight of evidence are assessed by the court, case by case.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Yes, as a documentation tool: the photos go into the file already sealed and the other side can verify them on their own. The procedural rules (both parties present, appointment, deadlines) stay as they are: LOCUS does not replace them.
A photo uses 1 slot, a video 2. The price per slot ranges roughly from about €6 to about €3 depending on the pack, with no subscription and no expiry. Twenty key photos of a milestone cost less than an hour of work.
No, and that is the point. Each package contains the page and scripts to re-check fingerprints, signature and timestamps independently. The timestamps are issued by third-party authorities, not by us.
No. The server receives only the fingerprints and, for photos, a histogram. You keep the package: hold a backup copy, for years.
